Arithmetic Solutions' Online Summer Bridge takes place every Summer and begins on the first Monday following the 6th of July. It is designed to help students prepare for the Math concepts that will be introduced to them in their upcoming school year. All concepts are Common Core aligned and will be disseminated in 8 45-minute sessions over the course of 4 weeks. Our skilled tutors will cover 4 specific Common Core Standards per grade level using written examples, verbal explanations and small group discussion to help students develop a solid level of understanding with respect to each Standard.
The online Summer Bridge Workshop sessions are LIVE and fully interactive with all problems solved by the tutor using an integrated whiteboard element contained within the tutoring platform. Each online session, as well as the step-by-step problem-solving, will be recorded and saved to Arithmetic Solutions servers until Thanksgiving so that students can review the information for study or review once school begins. Videos of the sessions are purged from servers during the Thanksgiving break.
The ultimate goal of Arithmetic Solutions' Summer Bridge Workshop is to combat "slippage" over the course of the Summer. Slippage is the term commonly used to describe the process of forgetting what was learned during a previous school year when a student has not attended school in an extended period of time. Students attending our Summer Bridge normally begin the school year slightly ahead, in mathematical understanding, of their classmates.
Many of our current members used our Summer Bridge Workshop to test-drive our LIVE online math support services in order to gauge whether or not it would work for their student. New clients paying for our Summer Bridge for the first time will have their initial membership payment waived should they decide to become an Arithmetic Solutions member after the Bridge has concluded.
All current, ongoing members can always attend the Summer Bridge at no cost as long as their membership is in good standing.
